Leadership Through Design

JayAr Customs Foundation’s Leadership Through Design program teaches young people how creativity can influence and inspire a community. Through collaborative art and design projects, students work in teams to solve real-world challenges—practicing leadership, communication, and presentation skills in the process.

Participants learn how design can shape messages, uplift voices, and create change. They take on roles within their creative teams, explore decision-making through visual storytelling, and build confidence by sharing ideas in group critiques and project planning sessions. Students learn how to express their identity and values while working collaboratively toward a shared vision.

Programs are available for youth ages 10–18 in schools, after-school spaces, and community settings. Each series ends with a showcase where students present their collaborative work, describe their design choices, and lead discussions about the message behind their final project—building skills in public speaking, leadership, and teamwork.
